Tulku Orgyen Zangpo Rinpoche trained directly with Khenchen Jigmed Phuntsok, one of Tibet's greatest saints, for 17 years with deep devotion and diligence. He internalized everything that his teacher taught and brought it beyond dry theory and into into his direct experience. His experience of the Buddha's Dharma is deeply profound and extremely rare in this world.

Rinpoche's presence near us is like a warm fire on a cold night. Our support for Rinpoche is like the kindling for that fire. Through our compassion for others we have the ability to help Rinpoche's wisdom shine forth and illuminate the minds of beings who are experiencing suffering. Donating to his organization helps to provide opportunities for ourselves and others to walk on the path of awaking in the Buddha's tradition.

Main Initiatives for the Compassion Fellowship:

  • We are committed to creating a center in Santa Cruz County. Ideally the location will be in-town and easily accessible on a daily basis to everyone who is interested in practicing the buddha-dharma.
  • Helping to create education opportunities for children in Tibet. If we are successful we can raise these children out of poverty and give them the tools they need to help themselves and others. This type of activity will help to raise the entire region out of poverty and empower the people to make wise decisions for themselves in the future. Click here for more info.
